About the Author
J.D. Pearl is the pen name for children's book writer, Silvia Nena. Silvia has also written two young adult fiction novels and is currently working on a third novel and a screen play. As the producer of Spell Weavers, a monthly storytelling event that conjures back the venerated art and craft of storytelling at intimate, atmospheric venues, Silvia's goal is to bring an enjoyable, accessible and interactive literary experience to the community. She is a freelance wellness writer, with a monthly column in San Pedro Today Magazine and featured online at LiveStrong.com, Lance Armstrong's collaborative online authority on health, fitness and wellness.
